Dr Andrew Evans trained at the Royal Melbourne, Western Hospitals and the Kingston Centre. He spent over 4 years in a movement disorders fellowship at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square, London, UK.

Dr Evans is the current director of the Movement Disorders Service at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. He has published extensively on the disease particularly addressing symptoms that impact on the quality of life of sufferers and heads a number of clinical research trials. In addition to his research, he is also a member of the Melbourne Health Ethics Committee.

Dr Evans visits a number of public and private hospitals in central Melbourne, including The Royal Melbourne Hospital, Melbourne Private Hospital, The Epworth Hospital Richmond.

Dr Mina Ghaly is a general and movement disorders specialist Neurologist. He completed his Neurology specialty training at Cabrini Health, The University Hospital of Geelong, Western Health and St Vincent’s Hospital.

He has expertise in managing movement disorders such as tremor, dystonia and Parkinson’s Disease.

He has a special interest in Parkinson’s disease pathology, particularly “Device Assisted Therapy” DAT, such as Duodopa, Apomorphine and Deep Brain Stimulation or DBS. Dr Ghaly is active in Parkinson’s research, patient advocacy and public education in this field. He is embarking on PhD Research investigating biomarkers in Parkinson’s disease.

He is currently holding a position as a deep brain stimulation Fellow at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and an Honorary Specialist Neurologist at St Vincent’s Hospital.

Dr Ghaly also consults in a range of neurological conditions such as stroke, epilepsy, headache, diseases of the peripheral nerves and muscles, Multiple Sclerosis and vertigo.

Dr Christine Wools Following her general medical and specialty Neurology training in Melbourne, Christine completed fellowship training in the area of Neurogenetics in Sydney, with a Masters thesis in the area of mitochondrial disease. She has current clinical appointments at the Royal Melbourne, Calvary Healthcare Bethlehem, and Epworth hospitals and has interest and clinical experience in managing patients with Genetically based Neurological diseases, Movement disorders, Headache, and Motor neurone disease.

Dr Christine Wools

Robert is a UK-trained neurologist and stroke physician. He trained at Cambridge University Hospital, the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square, and as the Association of British Neurologists’ Australasian Fellow at The Royal Melbourne Hospital. He completed sub-speciality training in stroke medicine at St George’s Hospital in London before returning to Melbourne in 2024. 

Robert has a strong research background. He held academic clinical fellowships in Manchester, Cambridge and Paris, and won a prestigious award to complete a DPhil (PhD) at the University of Oxford’s Centre for Prevention of Stroke and Dementia, publishing extensively in high-impact journals. He continues to lead clinical research with the Australasian Stroke Alliance and teach medical students at the University of Melbourne. 

Robert is known for his attention to detail and clear communication style, and he enjoys working collaboratively with patients to develop holistic and personalised treatment plans. Currently, Robert principally works at The Royal Melbourne Hospital’s state-wide Comprehensive Stroke Centre and Headache Service, and consults at Richmond Neurology. He also holds visiting rights at Epworth Richmond and Melbourne Private Hospitals. He is passionate about all aspects of neurology but has particular interests in stroke and headache, including botulinum toxin therapy and cranial nerve blocks
